2014 focus SE
#1
Hello, just purchased a 2014 Focus SE. I noticed that none of the interior lights (dome lights & ambient lights) are working. I checked the fuses under the dash and noticed there was not a fuse in slot F60 I believe, I put in a 10amp fuse and it burned right away. didnt have another 10 amp so i put in a 25 and noticed smoke coming from behind the overhead counsel and shortly fuse burned up after that. I know using a bigger fuse isnt recommended but I wanted to see if it would help identify a short somewhere in the circuit. Im guessing there's a short somewhere in the wiring harness. I did find the harness online but before purchasing I was wondering if there's a way to narrow the short down to the harness or maybe the overhead counsel itself? Dropping the headliner seems a bit tedious but will do if need be. Has anyone had a similar issue with their focus or has anyone taken on this task yet? Trying to find abetter way to troubleshoot this issue

thank you
