New front struts

Anyone have a clue why the mechanic that i had install new front struts is telling me that they are rubbing my control arms. I haven't seen the car yet as it is still in the shop.

What year is your Focus and which strut did you get?

2003 zx3 I got a set of complete struts from Detroit Axle.I have used them before on another vehicle with no problem.

FYI From 06-07 the front struts are different.

FYI From 06-07 the front struts are different.

I got my car back and found out that the mechanic's wife sent the message wrong. The front struts are fine, it was the new rear lower control arms that are hitting the rear shocks.
