What I Drive
2002 Ford Focus wagon
#1
I got a 2002 wagon for a song about 3 years ago. Besides having over 140K miles on it, just about everything on it still worked. Since then, when anything went wrong or needed fixing I discovered that this car is is pretty friendly when it comes to being a home-garage mechanic. The main reason I have the car is so I can take care of my elderly mother otherwise I’d just use my motorcycle. I work from home and don’t need a commuting vehicle. The thing has grown on me despite the odd body style and the color blue which I really don’t like that much. A really good cheap car! The challenge I have now is a stuck rear door on the passenger side that will not open and what I’ve been able to find elsewhere has not helped. No way to get to the locking mechanism when the door is permanently shut. There’s got to be a trick, but I’ve yet to find it. Blessings from Sebastopol - Denny
