High Beams always on

I have an older Focus. When the lights are on they are in the high beam mode. Upon flipping the switch to turn the beams from high to low nothing happens. No click in the turn signal light switch and the lights stay on high. What would be the likely cause and fix?

I have the same problem, for me its the switch in the stalk, only a simple swap was needed.

If i were you I'd first check your fuses (fuses 26&27) under the bonnet. The the relay, if all that's good then ypu have my issue. Just buy a used one of ebay.
