- 2013 Ford Focus SE
Hi all. I have a 2013 Focus SE with close to 130k miles on it. I'm pretty sure my strut bearings are failing. They make a popping sound when turning the wheels (both sides).
However, it's gotten to where it just doesn't handle the bumps as well as it used to. Pretty harsh. I don't feel the struts of shocks are bad because it's still pretty stable on the road with no floating/bouncing feeling to it. When the struts fail, can they fail in such a way that it's harsh over bumps but feel like they're bouncy?
Would it be best to go ahead and replace the entire strut assembly? They don't appear to be all that expensive.
I don't need high performance units, just good quality ones. Any recommendations?
