Hello
I have 2021 Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost MHEV. I have problem when I start moving in first gear. When I release the clutch and accelerate to reach about 1200 r/p, in moment when clutch is completely released, the system reduce the rotation of engine for 1100 r/p. In this moment you can feel the kick. I have this problem only in this car. To resolve it, I need to play with the clutch pedal durin accelering to prevent the kick in case of reduce of rotation by system. Did anyone has the same problem? Thanks!

Hello. I'm still having this problem. Ford dealer can't solve anything, they say everything is fine with the car. This is very bored.

You may be releasing the clutch just a bit too soon.

Why? The RPM drop when you apply throttle at a low RPM - the engine can not spin well enough to develop torque at a low RPM - Remember this is a 3-cylinder - don't gun the motor - but a shift point of about 2,500 RPM from 1st to 2nd gear is better than trying to move or bump the clutch and let the RPM gather momentum at too low of a "motor spin rate" it's not designed for,

You do have a lot of features available on that trim line. So you might want to investigate the owners manual a little further - there is a section called "Launch Control" which helps the vehicle start out in 1st gear from a standstill by helping you with the RPM control while you work the clutch - it's worth a look...

Yes. Your car, being a Mk8, has a number of drive modes to choose from. You may just need to read your owner's manual and set it how you want it.
