I want to put new brake pads on my 2012 Ford Focus Se which is a very simple job.
Can I go with semi-metallic vs the ceramic? Will the semi-metallic squeak more should they work OK?

Opinions please.

Their not going to squeak more but they'll sound more rougher than ceramic pads. If your main use is daily driving semi-metallic pads will be your best choice.

And I've never put any brake lube on either side of the pads.

I personally don't like the soft feeling of ceramic so I use semi metallic on all my cars. But it also comes down to individual performance of the pad.

THANKS Guys. I put ceramic pads on the rear but I will go with semi-metallic up front. Brakes on this Focus are so easy.
